1.1 Fokus Translatørerne A/S processes and retains your personal data in a confidential and secure manner, in compliance with applicable legislation and based on principles of data minimisation, data protection and data ethics.
1.2 Fokus Translatørerne is a limited liability company providing translation and interpreting services under company reg. (CVR) no. 27368530. Ute Mansfeldt, who carries on an independent translation and interpreting business in an office partnership with Fokus Translatørerne, is also comprised by this privacy policy.

2. PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS
2.1 Fokus Translatørerne processes personal data for the purpose of providing services within the fields of translation, language editing, proofreading and related fields. In addition, we process your personal data for the purpose of complying with applicable legislation.
2.2 The legal basis for our processing of your personal data is (i) the necessity of the processing for the performance of a contract, (ii) your consent, or (iii) legislation. See article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
3. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA
3.1 We mainly process your contact details, including your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, credentials and invoicing details.
3.2 Depending on the specific assignment, including the document to be translated, edited, proofread or similar as the case may be, we will under certain circumstances process your civil registration (CPR) number and your sensitive personal data, including – but not limited to – information about your health, trade union membership or financial matters.
4. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
4.1 Fokus Translatørerne will only disclose your personal data when it is necessary for us to perform the assignments set out above or to comply with legal obligations. We will typically disclose personal data to public authorities, such as the Danish Tax Agency and ATP, and to auditors and financial institutions, including banks, mortgage-credit institutions and insurance companies.
4.2 In addition, we will disclose personal data to our data processors in accordance with data processor and non-disclosure agreements, including to external translators. We have implemented appropriate control procedures with respect to such third-party processing of your personal data.
4.3 We will generally not transfer data to third countries (countries outside the EU/EEA), and if such transfer should take place, we will ensure that a valid basis of transfer exists in the form of, for instance, the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield or the European Commission’s standard contracts etc. for transfer to third countries.
5. SECURITY
5.1 The CAT (computer-aided translation) tools used by Fokus Translatørerne, including translation databases, are operated and managed on servers hosted in Denmark.
5.2 Fokus Translatørerne has implemented a number of internal procedures and policies and taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access to or loss or destruction of data in our possession.
6. RETENTION PERIODS
6.1 As a general rule, Fokus Translatørerne will not retain personal data for more than five years after completing an assignment. If warranted by specific circumstances, we will retain the data for a shorter or longer period of time.
7. RIGHTS
7.1 You have the following rights, subject to the terms and exemptions following from legislation and our duty of confidentiality:
- The right to request access to the personal data we are processing about you.
- The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- The right, subject to special circumstances, to have your personal data erased before our normal time limit for erasure.
- The right to have the processing of your personal data restricted.
- The right to data portability, i.e. the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have those data transmitted to another data controller.
- The right to object to our lawful processing of your personal data where our processing is based on legitimate or public interests.
Where the legal basis for our processing is legitimate interests, you are entitled – on grounds relating to your particular situation – to object to the processing of your personal data. In such case, Fokus Translatørerne may no longer process the personal data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms.
